As a seasoned Staff Machine Learning Engineer, he is passionate about cutting-edge technology and its applications, which has led him to take on the role of a community founder, establishing a thriving 2,000-member strong Indie Hackers community. In parallel, he is on a mission as an Indie Hacker himself, where he is building getQR.AI, a project that embodies his commitment to pushing the boundaries of AI and entrepreneurship. His diverse roles and experiences converge to fuel his passion for innovation and collaboration in the startup ecosystem.

Yucheng L: My full-time position is machine learning engineer and am exploring my way to becoming an indie hacker and solopreneur. I am inspired by the challenges and opportunities Al technology is bringing to everyone and just want to hold the driving wheel on my own.
What are some of the best practices or tips that you can share with other aspiring or current AI builders who want to create something valuable or impactful with AI?
Don't hold yourself back because you lack AI-related experiences, anyone can learn/build/create with AI now. Just believe in yourself and take a leap of faith!
What are some of the current trends or developments in the field of AI that excite you or interest you the most?
1. Making AI more controllable - right now AIGC still has a lot of flaws and inconsistency, there are a lot of investments needed in this area to make the output more accurate and consistent (e. g. how to perfectly keep the identity of generated characters, how to let LLM remember specific concepts)
2. Making AI more creative - e. g. AI-generated videos still need a lot of improvement but we are on track!
What is the most surprising or fascinating thing that you have learned from working with AI?
Although everything is moving blazing fast in this area, we are still early!
